Halliwells Completes Double AIM Deal

Halliwells has advised AIM quoted advertising and marketing agency Ekay PLC on the £8.5m acquisition of advertising and marketing agency WFCA.

The acquisition was paid for with £3m in cash, £1m of loan notes and £4.5m in new Ekay shares. The merger makes it the largest agency of its kind outside of London by turnover and will enable the enlarged company to increase its competitive offering and market position.

London partner Matthew Puhar led the Halliwells team, assisted by solicitor Deborah Angel.

The London team also recently advised AIM listed Debts.co.uk, the specialist advisor for personal debt solution management, on its acquisition of PB Recovery Limited and its related placing to raise £2.7m.
